Senior Field Engineer
Pat Downey is President of Merik, Inc. and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, ranging from product development to the management of two material manufacturing companies. He is a Fellow and Past President of RCI, the Institute of Roofing, Waterproofing and Building Envelope professionals. Mr. Downey has been certified as a Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), the Institute's highest level of technical achievement.
He is Past President of the Atlanta Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute and is certified as Construction Contract Administrator (CCA). He was awarded the Institute's "Advancement of Construction Technology Award", at the National Convention for work in Georgia dealing with building code implementation of cool roofing. Mr. Downey was the founding President of the Georgia Chapter Roof Consultants Institute.
Bruce Goddard is responsible for providing structural engineering services. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Georgia and Florida. Bruce has extensive experience working with parking decks, forensics investigation of buildings and concrete structures.
Bruce graduated from the University of Florida in 1969 with a degree in Civil Engineering and has graduate studies at the University of Florida in Construction Management.
In addition, Bruce is Vice President of a 501(c)3 nonprofit, Health and Education Relief Organization (HERO), that builds orphanages, schools, medical clinics and water systems in Haiti. He is also a member of Rotary International and the North Cobb Rotary Club.
Channing Lewis has over seventeen years of experience in the construction industry spanning multiple areas, primarily in the commercial sector. He has worked with numerous companies ranging from small to large, and is very proud of time spent with The Turner Construction Company. Channing is a graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Class of 2000 with a Degree in Industrial Design. He was a contracted Cadet in the United States Air Force and later became a certified Emergency Medical Technician, so safety is one of his passions. He has had the privilege to work with some of the most influential, demanding and well-respected clients and never backs down from the next opportunity or challenge. He is currently operating as a Project Manager, Observer, and Pilot of the Merik Drone Program. As a faithful and loyal employee, He strives to meet the needs of Merik's clients in a safe and efficient manner as well as becoming an involved member with the trade industry of RCI. His personal accomplishments include obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout and viewing the Southern Cross Constellation.
Tracey McDonald is responsible for computer design services and is experienced in field condition assessments. She holds Associates degrees in Business & Marketing and Interior Design. She has over 16 years of experience in the design and construction profession.
Tracey's focus at Merik includes design and construction document production in AutoCAD, and well as marketing and general office management tasks.
Tim Wintemute has been in the Roofing Industry since 2007 in a variety of roles. After attending Georgia Tech for Building Construction Management, Tim has worked as a sales rep, technical rep, and inspector for roofing and waterproofing manufacturers. He has worked on all manner of roofing projects spanning numerous types of materials and construction. He currently works with Merik as a Project Manager and Construction Observer. Tim has a passion for detail and solving challenging waterproofing problems. He is a current member of RCI, the institute of roofing, waterproofing and exterior wall professionals.
Tim is married for 6 years and the father of young boy/girl twins. He enjoys spending time with his family and completing home improvement projects.
