Founded in 1985, Merik Incorporated is a Building Envelope consulting firm located near Atlanta, Georgia. The firm specializes in resolving water infiltration problems in Building Envelope systems.

Merik will provide the labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to conduct field investigations, prepare specifications, construction drawings, bid documents, cost estimates, construction administration, construction observation and field quality assurance testing.


The firm takes particular interest in the survey of existing roofing and wall assemblies with investigative analysis towards problem solving and corrective measures.

Moisture scans are conducted using Infra red and Capacitance equipment. Wall assemblies are examined with optical borescopes. Forensic water testing confirms the water entry path allowing a corrective scope of work to be specified.

Quality Assurance testing of mockup and completed storefront, curtain- walls, individual windows and doors in compliance with AAMA and ASTM standards verifies design compliance.

Merik has gained national attention with the development of the ROOFCALC TM line of roof analysis software. A family of computer programs used by professional consultants, architects, material manufacturers and roofing contractors.
