The Ramsey Student Center is the student recreational and athletic facility constructed in 1994. The facility is one of the largest student athletic recreation facilities in the United States. The campus’s eight-acre Ramsey Center has 3 gyms, 3 pools (one Olympic-sized, a 17-foot diving well, and a lap pool), a 1/8 mile indoor suspended rubberized track, a 44 feet-high climbing wall, 14-foot outdoor bouldering wall, 10 racquetball courts and numerous other activities.
There are 11 skylights totaling more than 33,000 square feet in size. Merik conducted a condition assessment of the skylights and interior lighting. A replacement project for the large skylight over the basketball courts was undertaken with Merik providing the design documents, construction contract administration, construction observation, water testing and final punchlist inspection.
