This project for the Georgia Building Authority is the residence of the Governor of the State of Georgia. The building has historical and cultural significance. A successful project required coordination of the work in a manner that did not interfere with the official activities of the State and Governor.
Low slope roofing on two levels was removed and replaced with cold adhesive modified bitumen membrane system with hot air welded seams. The steep slope mansard standing seam metal roof area was prepared for application of two coats of elastomeric roof coating.
Merik conducted the roof surveys, specification development, construction contract administration and construction observation.
